Your Tarotscope for Leo Season Is Here!
Plus, two tarot readings to help you shine bright and dream big
It’s Leo season! Here’s the general vibe.
The sign of Leo, ruled by the Strength card in tarot, asks us to lean into what lights us up. This is the perfect time for us to focus on what we have endless passion for and the qualities and achievements we want to be remembered for. What makes you feel alive and brave and willing to go out on a limb and connect with others because it’s just that fun or important or beautiful? The grounded Virgo energy coming up next in the astrological year will bring us back down to earth, so for now, let’s be okay with letting our souls come alive and dream big!
My two go-to tarot spreads for Leo season
I have been orienting myself to the new zodiac season with two types of tarot readings for as long as I can remember. Below are the two for Leo season. May they serve you well!
My Leo Season Tarot Spread
In case you can’t read the four-card tarot spread inspired by the sign of Leo in the graphic above, here are the four tarot questions, or positions. Shuffle your deck and pull one tarot card for each:
Divine inspiration trying to come through
A way to express my creativity
A bold action it is time to take
How to let my inner light shine this month
My quick & easy tarot trick for Leo (aka Strength) season
Leo rules the Strength card in the Major Arcana. So here’s a quick and easy non-spread tarot reading I like to do based on Strength.
Step 1. Shuffle your tarot deck while meditating on Strength. When you’re ready, turn over your tarot deck so you can look through the cards.
Step 2. Find the Strength card as well as the cards right before and after it.
Step 3. The card before, or on top of, Strength shows an area of life where you may find strength in the spotlight.
Step 4. The card after, or beneath, Strength shows where you might shine a light on someone else’s strength.

In the example illustrated in the images above, my tarot cards suggest that the routine stress and overwhelm I feel any time I am in the spotlight might actually be building my character and helping me find strength as a leader and authority in my field. I always get so nervous before an event or opportunity that stretches me beyond my comfort zone and curse the day I agreed to do it, but I almost always feel great after it’s done! In fact, the Two of Cups as the other card in this reading makes perfect sense for me because I need to extend this same patience and compassion for doing hard things to my husband. He is an artist and performer and I admire that so much about him. Why not shine a light on his poise and confidence and let him know how proud I am of him?

If you’re new here, welcome! I hope your tarotscope resonates and fills you with insight, empowerment, and self-compassion. Please also note that while I do not consider myself a fortune-teller, I do believe in the synchronicity and magical timing of tarot wisdom, especially in trusted and like-minded communities like ours. So I am confident there will be a nugget of wisdom or resonance somewhere in here for all of us.
My favorite part of sending out these tarotscopes is getting to feature a different tarot deck each month. This month, our collective wisdom is brought to you by the 35th anniversary edition of The Enchanted Tarot by Amy Zerner and Monte Farber (← That’s an affiliate link to support independent bookstores, by the way.)
The cards in this classic tarot deck feel like illuminated pages of an old holy book. They are so beautifully intricate and ornate - especially the Major Arcana. Plus, this anniversary edition comes with a gorgeous velvet carrying pouch and a 232-page full color guidebook. A treasure indeed!
Now, to check what the energy might look like for you, scroll down until you see your sign. Whether you check for your sun sign, moon sign, or rising sign is up to you. Whatever you decide (hell, check all three!), I am sure your intuition will not lead you astray.
Without further ado, here are your Leo season tarotscopes, starting with our Leo birthday babes, of course!

Your tarot card for Leo season: Six of Wands
One of the biggest lessons of your birthday season, Leo, is getting comfortable with being perceived. It’s a common astrological stereotype that all Leos love the spotlight. But whether that’s true or not for you, the Six of Wands is asking how you treat yourself and others when that moment comes. Do you enjoy and feel worthy of your much deserved recognition? Do you thank those who support you? Or do you perhaps demand the support of those around you and feel bitter when you don’t receive it? No judgments either way! Just curiosity. Know thyself and all that. It will serve you well.
