Happy almost April, tarot friends! Before we dive into your tarotscopes for the month, do you want to chat with me LIVE!? I will be joining the wonderfulChelsey Pippin Mizzi of The Shuffle for a FREE VIRTUAL Q&A about all things tarot, including my new tarot questions deck, Inquire Within, on Sunday, April 7th, 2024. Join us for this FREE Zoom event!
Now, a few things about my monthly tarotscopes if you are new here:
First, while I am not a fortune-teller, I do believe in the synchronicity and magical timing of tarot wisdom, especially in trusted and like-minded communities like ours. So I am confident there will be a nugget of wisdom or resonance somewhere in here for all of us.
Second, as a staunch believer in reading tarot for ourselves, I have included two tarot questions with each tarotscope so you can consult your own tarot deck and get an even more personalized message. This month’s questions are all from my Inquire Within deck of daily tarot questions!
And third, the tarot deck featured this month (I choose a different one for each month’s tarotscopes - so feel free to browse previous months if you are in need of some deck inspo!) is The Shining Tribe Tarot by Rachel Pollack and published by Weiser Books. It comes in a gorgeous pink box with a massive guide book, so do check it out!
To check what the energy in April might look like for you, scroll down until you see your sign. Whether you check for your sun sign, moon sign, or rising sign is up to you. Whatever you decide (hell, check all three!), I am sure your intuition will not lead you astray.
Without further ado, here are your April tarotscopes!
Aries | The Emperor (March 21 - April 19)
Your tarot card for April: Seven of Cups
If you’re like me, Aries season can be such a breath of fresh air after the haze that is Pisces season. But sometimes, we get so eager to get moving after a pause or bout of uncertainty that we end up feeling a bit frantic and desperate in our busy-ness for the sake of busy-ness, rather than feeling the more pleasant states of productivity and progress. How can you get clear on what you want to see happen in your life, Aries, so you can set off in a more definite direction that can actually get you there? Steps forward in illusory or indecisive directions may not end up feeling like the progress we crave and most definitely deserve.
Tarot questions to help you dive deeper: What goal can I work toward this month? How can I see the bigger picture this month?
Taurus | The Hierophant (April 20 - May 20)
Your tarot card for April: The Hermit
Last month’s Queen of Wands brought in an era of confidence, Taurus. And this month’s card seems to be inviting some introspection and integration of that energy: How does it feel to put yourself out there, and to push yourself to take up more space and limelight than you are perhaps used to? The Hermit card invites us to engage in some behind-the-scenes healing that allows us to balance our public persona with our more private one. That may require solitude, which is often how this Major Arcana card is interpreted, but healing and reflection can also happen with trusted others.
Tarot questions to help you dive deeper: What lesson am I being invited to learn this month? What might help facilitate healing?
Gemini | The Lovers (May 21 - June 20)
Your tarot card for April: Three of Cups
Did I ever tell you that my word for 2024 is connection? Many of us tend to withdraw and self-isolate when we feel vulnerable or overwhelmed, even when the opposite prescription is what might actually help us feel supported and loved. The Three of Cups for you this month, Gemini, echos this idea beautifully. If you are the type to make all sorts of plans and commitments when you’re feeling great, and then end up cursing the day you did so and trying to concoct acceptable excuses to get out of all the things, fight that urge this month. How can you show up as you are and trust that your friends simply want you there - in whatever shape and mood that looks like at the moment?
Tarot questions to help you dive deeper: How can I connect with others this month? How can I accept myself for who I am?
Cancer | The Chariot (June 21 - July 22)
Your tarot card for April: The Chariot
I love when a sign gets their own Major Arcana card for their tarotscope! It’s such a magical and aligned energy! And the Chariot for you, Cancer, seems to be continuing the fast-moving energy of the Eight of Wands you got for last month’s tarotscope. This is a cosmic “keep going” signal if I ever saw one. Keep your momentum going by continuing to put yourself out there to make your visions a reality. When doubt or nervousness creep in (which will inevitably happen from time to time - it doesn’t “mean” anything other than you are human!), thank your nervous system for trying to keep you safe, and then press onward.
Tarot questions to help you dive deeper: How can I make the most of this month? How can I get out of my own way?
Leo | Strength (July 23 - Aug. 22)
Your tarot card for April: Three of Wands
You may have been laying low or feeling unsure of your next move, Leo. But when the Three of Wands shows up in a reading, it is usually our intuition’s way of telling us it’s time to take a risk and give ourselves that gentle push out of our comfort zone. It’s easy to become complacent in the name of research, planning, and strategizing (literally my favorite stage of any project - I’m not going to lie!). But we’ve got to dive in at some point, and what better time to “just do it” than with the can-do DIY energy of Aries season? Even the best laid plans mean nothing if they are never put into action.
Tarot questions to help you dive deeper: How can I face my fears this month? What risk or bold action can I take?
Virgo | The Hermit (Aug. 23 - Sept. 22)
Your tarot card for April: Eight of Cups
If you’ve been connecting more with others, collaborating and learning from friends or other people who have walked your path before, first of all CONGRATS! Virgos have a tendency to think they must do everything on their own or it doesn’t count, which simply isn’t true. But what is true is that we don’t have to let anybody and everybody in on our journey and progress. The Eight of Cups reminds us that when we spend time and effort on cultivating a beautiful and radiant inner energy, it would be a damn shame to let people around us squander our light. We can be discerning and selective with our inner circle, no matter how that might make others feel.
Tarot questions to help you dive deeper: How can I hold stronger boundaries this month? How can I let my inner light shine brighter?
Libra | Justice (Sept. 23 - Oct. 22)
Your tarot card for April: King of Swords
The King of Swords asks, “Do you want to be right, or do you want to be at peace?” Unlike the Queen of this suit, who’s sword is held straight up in a rigid and uncompromising position, the King holds his sword askew, as if weighing options, considering both sides, and landing on a compromise that will be beneficial - or at least acceptable - to all. In what area might you be able to soften your stance a bit in the hope of protecting your peace, or perhaps bringing a bit of peace into a situation for the first time, Libra? How can you embody this King of mediation this month?
Tarot questions to help you dive deeper: How can I be more flexible? How can I respond with love this month?
Scorpio | Death (Oct. 23 - Nov. 21)
Your tarot card for April: Eight of Pentacles
The Eight of Pentacles often gets interpreted as hard work, full stop. But the repetitive nature of this card is standing out to me this month, Scorpio, in a way that tells me we are also being invited to think about the daily rituals and routines that nourish us and keep us willing and able to work hard. How can you turn a long to-do list into a game? Or incorporate treats and rewards into your otherwise very serious and not-too-thrilling schedule? Adding a sense of fun and enjoyment can help us feel like we are working with purpose and meaning rather than devoting each and every day to obligations that never seem to end. We deserve to enjoy our work!
Tarot questions to help you dive deeper: How can I boost my energy and motivation this month? How can I approach life creatively?
Sagittarius | Temperance (Nov. 22 - Dec. 21)
Your tarot card for April: Six of Cups
The Six of Cups invites us to be more mindful of the small moments of happiness in life - the less flashy and momentous but equally magical glimmers that happen around us if we are paying attention. If you’re anything like me, Sagittarius, you might sometimes feel like only big strides and bold actions can have the impact you desire in life, that if it ain’t some giant, sweeping, life-changing event or effort, what’s the use? That’s why I love this tarot card so much. It gently reminds us that small, soft, mundane joys can also have a life-changing impact.
Tarot questions to help you dive deeper: How can I express gratitude and appreciation this month? How can I be open to joy this month?
Capricorn | The Devil (Dec. 22 - Jan. 19)
Your tarot card for April: Ten of Pentacles reversed
I consider the Ten of Pentacles the root chakra card. When it shows up reversed, it may be suggesting that our root chakra - our seat of security and belonging - is a bit blocked at the moment. Thinking about roots, lineage, and our sense of “home” is often fraught with mixed emotions. This reversal asks us how we can embrace our background and past for the light and strength it has instilled in us and selectively release the rest from our narrative. We don’t have to claim and continue to carry every last thing that has ever happened to us. Why? Says who? While the Ten of Pentacles inspires thoughts of lineage and foundations, this reversal adds the possibility of breaking generational cycles and being the ancestor that creates a new foundation for the future.
Tarot questions to help you dive deeper: What does my inner child need most this month? What seed can I plant today for a better tomorrow?
Aquarius | The Star (Jan. 20 - Feb. 18)
Your tarot card for April: Knight of Swords reversed
Aquarians are so passionate and smart that sometimes it can be difficult to remember that you do not actually have to partake in every single discussion happening around you. It is perfectly fine to abstain from some debates in order to protect our mental health or give ourselves a much needed time out. In fact, I’d go as far as to say that this reversed Knight is telling us it’s actually our responsibility - not just our option - to remove ourselves from situations where we feel like we are being goaded or disrespected by a context or person who is not actually interested in hearing and respecting our perspective.
Tarot questions to help you dive deeper: How can I navigate the events of this month with grace and poise? How can I foster a sense of inner harmony?
Pisces | The Moon (Feb. 19 - March 20)
Your tarot card for April: Six of Pentacles reversed
The Six of Pentacles is a card of reciprocity. So when it shows up reversed, it seems to reflect a sense of imbalance or feelings of injustice. As HSPs (highly sensitive persons), Pisces can tend to sway towards extremes: bleeding hearts that will lose sleep until every injustice is solved, or dissociated would-be empaths who have resigned after debilitating compassion fatigue. The challenge, of course, is to find and maintain a middle ground. How can we take action within our realm of control and influence while also understanding the need for self-care and personal peace?
Tarot questions to help you dive deeper: How can I lead by example this month? How can I practice self-care this month?

Always,
Annie
thank you Annie! I ask to the lovely community for some ideas as I draw the queen of cups for the question "what risks or bold action can I take?" I gotta say, this card surprised me, its so calm and center and non-action taker...😅
