Some changes you should know about
This newsletter just got way more user-friendly!
I’ve rebranded a bit! Here’s why.
I had been blogging as The Tarot Professor for awhile before I started Office Hours with The Tarot Professor as a more intimate and in-depth tarot newsletter here on Substack. But in the two years that I’ve been sending out this tarot newsletter, a few things have happened.
First, many of you asked for more informational and even beginner-friendly tarot content in addition to the fun literary deep dives that tie tarot symbolism and mythology and real-life lessons and humor together. To make room for those how-to posts, I riffed off of the “Office Hours” title of this newsletter and started a section called “In Class.”
Second, I didn’t like that I had tarot content here on Substack but also still on my blog as well. Why two different places!? So I also slowly started migrating some of my older blog posts onto here and deleting them off the blog, which I wasn’t maintaining anyway.
And third, someone unsubscribed from this newsletter a few months ago citing the inability to find specific tarot information easily as the reason for leaving. At first, I balked: “What ‘specific tarot information’? This is a newsletter, not a blog. You read what I send you when I send it!” But then I calmed down and had a really helpful a-ha moment. (So I thank you, thoughtful unsubscriber!) This is a newsletter, sure. But why can’t it also be as navigable a resource as my tarot blog was? Why can’t we have the best of both worlds!?
This newsletter has a new, simpler name.
So the first thing that has changed is this newsletter’s title. It is no longer “Office Hours with The Tarot Professor” (which implied bonus information somehow connected to my blog at thetarotprofessor.com.)
It’s simply “The Tarot Professor.” Simple. Clean. All-encompassing. Way more logical.
Also, instead of seeing this header in your emails,
You’ll now see this snazzy new version.
I hope you like it! It just feels a little more updated and a little more 💖ME,💖 don’t you think?
And finally, is the tarot content changing!?
Nope! No worries there. My tarot content is just getting reorganized into two primary sections: In Class (for how-tos and tutorials) and Office Hours (for more personal deep-dives).
In Class with The Tarot Professor
In Class posts are juicy and informative how-tos sharing all sorts of tarot basics, advanced tarot tips, and step-by-step guides. Start here if you’re just beginning your tarot reading journey! The latest posts include:
Office Hours with The Tarot Professor
Office Hours are for hanging out with my favorite students after class. We’ll go beyond tarot basics and have deeper, more intimate conversations that tie tarot into literature, mythology, and more, and consider the real-life wisdom tarot has to offer. The latest posts include:
You’ll notice the “In Class” and “Office Hours” sections now up at the top of The Tarot Professor home page on Substack, as seen in the screenshot below.
That’s all for now, tarot besties. Thanks so much for sharing your tarot journey with me. Please let me know how you’re doing and if you have any comments, questions, or requests for tarot content you’d like to see in the future. There’s plenty more planned! But your input is always welcome as well.
Always,
Annie
Always appreciate a good streamline!
Thank you Annie! I've never had an issue with your pieces, I absolutely love gathering some and dedicating a full day reading you and applying the spreads immediately to read for myself. I never came for theory. I love seeing the cards in "real life" since I sometimes can also see a specific tarot card in my present moment and I love that, plus all the amazing correlations you do, its for me 😍 I love learning, but it doesnt needs to be the traditional structural way.
